The main body tube is covered in fish skin and the eyepiece draw tube is made of parchment.
The objective is mounted in hardwood.
The microscope body is supported on two circulars shaft mounted to the top base with a brass foot.
The front of the box is a missing removable cover with a square plane mirror inside.
